Pair to face trial charged with man's murder
A man and a woman have appeared on court to deny killing a 49-year-old man in Leeds.
Paul Davinson died in hospital following an incident in Smithson Street, in the Rothwell area of the city, on 9 March.
Stephen Long, 48, and Cheryl Long, 46, pleaded not guilty to murder during a brief hearing at Leeds Crown Court. They also pleaded not guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
Both were remanded into custody ahead of a trial set to begin on 9 September.
