Weather pushes fast craft sailing back five hours
- Published
Thursday's remaining sailings of the fast craft between the Isle of Man and Liverpool have been delayed by more than five hours due to poor weather.
The Manannan鈥檚 afternoon journey has been pushed back to 20:30 BST, with its Douglas-bound return now due to set sail at 00:30.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company said the changes were necessary due to 鈥渁 deterioration in the weather forecast鈥.
Deteriorating conditions at the summit of Snaefell Mountain have also led to the suspension of electric railway services on the route by Isle of Man Transport.
Ronaldsway Met Office has warned of gusts of up to 40mph (60km/h) during the afternoon along with localised flooding due to heavy downpours.
Sailings of the company鈥檚 flagship vessel Manxman to and from Heysham have not been affected by the conditions.
