Death by dangerous driving charge after pedestrian dies

A 24-year-old man has appeared in court charged with death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian died in Edinburgh last year.
The 70-year-old woman died in hospital following the incident in Stevenson Drive in the Balgreen area of the city at 15:30 on Saturday 26 August, 2023.
Washe Manyatelo, from Edinburgh, appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination.
