Dutch dance duo Bingo Players have gone straight to the top of the UK singles chart with their track Get Up (Rattle).

The song was one of the biggest club hits of 2012 and has now landed in the chart with a new version featuring US hip-hop quartet Far East Movement.

They knocked Britney Spears' collaboration with Will.i.am, Scream and Shout, down to second place.

Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble moved back up to number three after 16 weeks on the chart.

"We are so excited to have our first number one record in the UK," said Bingo Players, aka Paul Baumer and Maarten Hoogstraten.

"Growing up in the Netherlands, we have always watched the UK charts as a great indicator of what's to come next and really admired and looked up to great British dance artists and producers like The Prodigy and The KLF.

"Now to be among those ranks means the world to us."

On the UK albums chart the soundtrack to the film version of Les Miserables is at number one for a second week, according to the Official Charts Company.

The selection of highlights - which includes Anne Hathaway's rendition of I Dreamed A Dream - held off competition from Emeli Sande, at number two with Our Version of Events.
