A new public space protection order comes into effect giving council enforcement officers broader powers to deal with dog owners who don’t properly control or clean up after their pets in public open spaces.

Holidaymakers returning from foreign shores are being reminded to check luggage for illegal stowaways - of the reptile kind.
One Warwick family recently found a lizard creeping out of a suitcase after a holiday in Greece, with another gecko found clinging on to hand luggage during a journey from Turkey to Hereford.
As the reptiles are not native to the UK, the RSPCA is reminding travellers it's an offence to release them or allow them to escape into the wild.

Eighty young players took part in the second University of Worcester/Valencia Basket residential camp, topping the 60 that came to last year’s inaugural event.
The annual week-long camp brings coaches from the university, its basketball team, Worcester Wolves, and Valencia Basket together.
It is a result of the university’s partnership agreement with the Spanish club, who were crowned Spanish ACB champions in May.
Spanish youngsters who attended also had English language classes alongside the chance to improve their basketball skills.
