Vampire Weekend unveil second LP

Vampire Weekend have announced details of their forthcoming second album.

Contra, the follow-up to the New York band's 2008 self-titled debut, is released on 11 January 2010.

The album will feature 10 new tracks including White Sky, which the band debuted at last month's Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Vampire Weekend's keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij released an album under the name Discovery with Ra Ra Riot's Wes Miles in July.
