Terry Gilliam, the director of Heath Ledger's final film The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, insists he didn't want to finish shooting the movie after the death of its lead actor in January 2008. The former Monty Python actor, who's since made the likes of 12 Monkeys and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, says his daughter forced him to complete the film in Heath Ledger's memory.

Are you happy that this film, your work, will be viewed as Heath Ledger's final film?

Was there a point where you thought, 'I'm just going to shelve this film?'

When you watch the film, it all makes sense with the different actors standing in for Heath Ledger. How did that happen?

It is strange this film because you're watching the likes of Johnny Depp do a Heath Ledger impression, aren't you?

Verne Troyer, Lily Cole and Andrew Garfield all have roles in the film

Did they call you or did you have to call them? How did that all come together?

Is there a lot more of Heath's performance that is going to end up on DVD extras?

The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus is out in cinemas on Friday 16 October
