Dizzee Rascal records 'uplifting' song with Cheryl Cole
Dizzee Rascal says the track he has collaborated on with Cheryl Cole is "positive" and "uplifting" for her young fans.
The rapper's song with the X Factor judge is called Everyone.
He's told Newsbeat he chose which track to work on with her: "They gave me a few songs and I picked that one. I thought it was the best one.
"It's just a really positive, uplifting song. As a lot of young girls look up to her, it's all just really positive."
It will be a single next year and is on Cheryl Cole's album, Messy Little Raindrops, which is out this week (1 November).
The rapper said he instinctively knew what the song needed: "I heard the track and I knew what I had to put on it."
He admitted he's also looking forward to performing with her at some point.
MTV awards
Before then he is teaming up with another female star.
He's opening the MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid alongside Shakira.
He says it's a "big compliment" to be asked to open the show.
He said: "I'm looking forward to it. I've never been to the EMA's before and it's my first time performing with Shakira.
"It's definitely a big compliment, it's gonna be amazing."
But it sounds like he's not going to be doing a lot of rehearsals with the Latin American performer.
He said: "I'm literally going to get there and see what they're rehearsing and go.
"I'll just step in and do my job. That's all I ever do."
The performance could be a major boost for the star worldwide, because of the potential huge worldwide audience.
He said: "They told me the figures of how many people are actually going to be watching that show, it's a lot.
"I want the world. I'm willing to put in the work and it will happen in due time."
The MTV EMAs take place on 7 November and are shown on MTV at 9pm.
