Dr. Dre to release third studio album, Detox, in 2011

US rapper and producer Dr. Dre is to release his third studio album next year, called Detox.

First single, Kush, will be available to download on Monday (21 November) and features Snoop Dogg and Akon.

The album also includes collaborations with British star La Roux plus fellow rappers Eminem, Jay-Z and Beyonce.

The former N.W.A star hasn't brought out an album for 11 years, with his debut, The Chronic, released seven years before that in 1992.

Dr. Dre, 45, has won six Grammy music awards in America and has appeared in films including Training Day with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke.

He's also produced albums for the likes of Eminem, 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Ice Cube, 50 Cent and Jay-Z as well as for rockers Nine Inch Nails and Gwen Stefani.
