The rapper will perform his debut set, 1993's Doggystyle, reuniting with Warren G and Tha Dogg Pound.

The influential album includes hits like Gin and Juice.

Dance-pop act Scissors Sisters will also perform at the three-day event, to be held in London's Victoria Park from 15-17 July.

Others on the line-up include 2 Many DJs, The Wombats, The Drums, Robyn, Kelis, Example and Katy B.

Last year Lovebox pulled in 65,000 fans to London's Victoria Park

Tom Findlay, Lovebox founder and one half of Groove Armada, said the festival's ability to pull in big stars was getting stronger each year.

"Last year's three-day Lovebox was so good people said we couldn't top it but with this line-up we will!"

Each day of the east London festival is themed, with the more mainstream acts appearing on the Saturday.

The opening day, a Friday, is an underground music showcase, while Out and Fierce on the Sunday is being billed as a collection of the "weird, wonderful, and fantastically fabulous".

Away from the music, organisers are also promising a farmers' market, fringe cabaret, street artists and comedy.

Lovebox has been held annually since 2003 and last year 65,000 fans turned out to see the action across eight stages.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 2 March.
