Adele albums top official mid-year music sales chart
Adele's latest album, 21, has sold the most copies so far this year, according to the Official Charts Company.
The singer's debut record, 19, is also at number two in the music sales list between January and the end of June.
Adele also has the best-selling single of 2011 with Someone Like You, with Jessie J (Price Tag) and Bruno Mars (Grenade) at two and three.
An extra 1.7m downloaded albums were bought between April and June compared with the same period last year.
The Official Charts Company says in the second quarter of 2011, a rise of nearly 50%.
LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem, featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, was the second quarter's biggest single with 695,607 sales.
Give Me Everything by Pitbull featuring Ne-Yo, Afro Jack and Nayer, and On The Floor by Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull also sold more than half a million copies as April-June's second and third top singles.
The singles market had a good second quarter with sales up year-on-year by 17.7% with more than 40m units sold across the three months.
