Canadian rapper Drake has been confirmed as the Saturday night headliner at this year's Wireless Festival in London's Hyde Park.

Other acts confirmed to take part on 7 July include Example, Wiz Khalifa and Professor Green.

Rihanna will headline the Sunday night of the festival with Jessie J, Labrinth and Calvin Harris also due to appear with Rizzle Kicks and Flux Pavilion.

The Black Eyed Peas, Pulp and the Chemical Brothers headlined last year.

Drake released his second album Take Care last year and is also touring the UK in March and April.

The rapper, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, made it into the top 10 of the Official Singles Chart last year with the title track from his record.

Rihanna sang on the song, their second collaboration together.

Example, who will perform on the Sunday afternoon of the festival, said: "This will be my fourth year in a row at Wireless. We must be doing something right.

"I feel like part of the furniture now. Over the years I've moved up from stage to stage and played bigger slots but I can honestly say every one of them was equally epic.

"Whether it was opening the main stage or closing one of the smaller tents the crowd was always packed and buzzing with energy.

"The backdrop of Hyde Park adds a certain air of heritage and great tradition to the whole event. I can't wait."

Tickets for this year's Wireless Festival go on sale at 10am on Friday 3 February.
