Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon says she is working on a solo album.

The singer also said because of that and other commitments, new music from Mis-Teeq would not be made anytime soon.

The 32-year-old was talking at the Britain's Got Talent launch, which is back on TV on Saturday.

Alesha Dixon says she's in contact with the rest of the band and they will sit down and write some new music, but are not putting pressure on themselves.

She also said that she still feels "honoured" to be part of Britain's Got Talent.

"It's girls verses guys this year," she said. "They've definitely ganged up on Amanda and I. I mean, last year, David and I were the newbies but he's deserted me this year.

"He's obsessed with Simon. Absolutely obsessed. And I think Simon likes it."

X Factor future

Simon Cowell also rubbished claims that he had recently offered nearly 拢2 million to singer Noel Gallagher to join the judging panel of The X Factor.

"I don't think he'd want to do it," he said. "I spoke to him once. We had a conversation because I know him quite well, but that was a couple of years ago."

In terms of what the changes are to this year's X Factor, Simon Cowell said he "kind of knows" what they are doing but couldn't go into more detail.

There is one year left for The X Factor to appear on ITV contractually but Simon Cowell wouldn't confirm whether the show would stay with the network or whether it would be moving to another channel.

He said: "It depends on whether they want us or not."

Britain's Got Talent is back for a seventh series on Saturday 13 April at 7pm
