Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines is 2013's best-selling song
Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines has been named the best-selling single of 2013 so far.
According to the Official Charts Company the track has sold 1.44 million copies, with less than a month to go before the end of year charts are compiled.
The song, which also features Pharrell Williams, spent a total of five weeks at number one.
Williams is also on the second best-selling song, Get Lucky.
The Daft Punk track, which also has a guest appearance from Nile Rodgers, has sold 1.28m copies.
Avicii's Wake Me Up, which is currently the fastest selling single of 2013, is third with sales of over 1.12m.
Other tracks in the top ten include Katy Perry's Roar and La La La by Naughty Boy, featuring Sam Smith.
Details of the best-selling album have also been released.
As things stand, Emeli Sande looks likely to be at number one for a second year running with Our Version of Events.
It has sold 604,000 copies this year, bringing the total to 2.03m since its release.
After just one week's worth of sales, One Direction are already at number 21.
Their new album, Midnight Memories, sold 237,000 copies in its first seven days of release.
The Official Christmas Number One will be announced on 22 December at 7pm.
The best-selling singles and albums of 2013 will be confirmed later this month.
