Lorde to write for and curate Hunger Games soundtrack

New Zealand singer Lorde is curating the soundtrack for the upcoming third Hunger Games film.
As well as hand-picking the tracks for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One, the 17-year-old has also written a song for the film.
The announcement comes in the same year that the singer has won two Grammys for her single Royals, which has sold four million copies.
Mockingjay Part One will be released on 21 November.
Director Francis Lawrence said: "I sat down with Lorde on the set of Mockingjay this spring and I was immediately struck by how she so innately understood what we, as both fans and filmmakers, were trying to accomplish with the film."
The singer, whose debut album Pure Heroine went to number four in the UK, said: "The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience.
"I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people."

The films, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson are based on Suzanne Collins' bestselling books.
A new minute-long official trailer was unveiled at Comic-Con in San Diego last weekend.
It opens with a hovership landing and a meeting between leaders of the rebellion, where Phillip Seymour Hoffman and a grey-haired Julianne Moore discuss what Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen will do next.
