Region Profile
Mid Scotland and Fife is made up of nine constituencies - Clackmannanshire and Dunblane; Cowdenbeath; Dunfermline; Kirkcaldy; Mid Fife and Glenrothes; North East Fife; Perthshire North; Perthshire South and Kinross-shire and Stirling.
The region includes Stirling which lies at the centre of Scotland. Perth and Kinross is characterised by a diverse mix of rural and urban communities and North East Fife is home to St Andrews University, the oldest seat of learning in Scotland.
At the 2011 Holyrood election, Mid Scotland and Fife returned three Labour MSPs, two Conservative members, one SNP MSP and one Liberal Democrat.
