Flooding in Essex and Suffolk after heavy rain
Flooding has made many rural routes in parts of Essex and Suffolk impassable after heavy rain.
The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings for the River Brain through Braintree to Witham in Essex, and the Stour Brook from Haverhill to Sturmer on the Essex/Suffolk border.
Flood alerts have been widely issued, including in Stowmarket, Suffolk, where a van has become stuck on Wash Lane.
The Environment Agency has been approached for comment.
A spokesperson for Suffolk County Council said "heavy and constant rainfall" meant some "road gullies can reach full capacity which results in surface flooding".
