Two men have been arrested on suspicion of poisoning after a man died at a property and another became seriously ill.
Police were called by the ambulance service to reports two men in their 50s were unwell at a property in Weeting, Norfolk at about 22:30 GMT on Sunday.
Karl Edgeller was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at the address in Hereward Way.
Two men, arrested on Tuesday, have been bailed pending further investigations.
The second man who was found unwell was treated at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds and has been discharged.
The death is being treated as unexplained and a Home Office post-mortem examination will be carried out.
One man, in his 40s, was arrested in Thetford, Norfolk, and the second, in his 50s, was arrested in Weeting.
Derek Holland, 70, who lives in Hereward Way, described seeing blue lights outside the property at about 00:45.
Mr Holland said his neighbour "was a nice fella" and added people were "sad, sad - we don't expect this sort of thing in the village."
