Woman, 71, dies in waste lorry crash in Chalfont St Peter
A 71-year-old woman has died after being hit by a waste collection lorry.
It happened in Market Place in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, at 10:45 GMT on Monday.
Thames Valley Police said the woman died at the scene and her family have been informed. It said no arrests had been made and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Chiltern District Council said the crash involved a Serco waste collection vehicle.
A spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the lady involved".
Investigations are ongoing and witnesses are asked to contact police.
