Sharnbrook man denies causing house explosion
A man has denied causing a small explosion at a house in his village.
Matthew Haydon, 47, was accused of causing an explosion likely to endanger life or property in Loring Road in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, on 10 April.
Appearing at the Old Bailey via video from HMP Bedford on Friday, he spoke only to reply "not guilty" when the charge was put to him.
The defendant, who lives on the street where the alleged incident took place, was remanded into custody.
His trial will be at the same court on 9 April 2024.
