Luton crash: Man in his 50s dies after getting hit by a bus

A man in his 50s has died after he was hit by a bus in Luton.
Bedfordshire Police were called to Hitchin Road, at 17:00 GMT on Tuesday, after they received calls about a serious crash.
Officers were sent to the incident, along with fire, ambulance and air ambulance crews.
A spokeswoman for the force said that a pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's next of kin have been informed and they were supported by specialist officers.
A number of roads were closed in the area but they were reopened the same evening.
