Two men have suffered serious injuries after their van was hit by a car outside Windsor Castle, in which two children were also hurt.

Police said the pair were unloading the parked van on Thames Street when a blue Polestar car crashed into it at about 07:50 GMT on Tuesday.

The car then came to a rest against the boundary wall of the castle.

The driver and two children travelling in the car suffered minor injuries and were discharged from hospital.

The impact caused the Vauxhall van to move forward and hit the rear of a Nissan van outside Theatre Royal.
