Alex Bessell in court over Google cyber attack
A man accused of a series of cybercrime offences, including creating and selling malware, has appeared in court.
Alex Bessell faces 11 charges including infecting and controlling more than 9,000 "zombie" computers to attack Skype, Google and other firms.
The 21-year-old, from Liverpool, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Monday after an investigation by West Midlands Police.
He is due to appear in Crown court in November.
