Dramatic pictures show the moment a car ended up in a river following a police pursuit.

A suspected stolen Audi was spotted by an unmarked police car in Solihull around 11:00 BST on Saturday, West Midlands Police said.

After a 10 minute pursuit, the car was seen to plunge into a river in Chinn Brook Recreation Ground, Birmingham.

An 18-year-old man was later charged with dangerous driving and a boy of 17 charged with criminal damage.

The older suspect was also charged with driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop for police.
