A Bradford care home has sold for 拢1m at auction after being listed at a fraction of the price.

The 28-bedroom property in Allerton had a guide price of 拢325,000 after it closed as it was "not fit for purpose".

Four other buildings also went under the hammer, meaning Bradford Council made more than 拢1.8m in total.

The council said it had deemed the buildings surplus to requirement and the sales were managed by Pugh Auctioneers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
