Peterborough gets medical tents for alcohol casualties

Four tents are to be set up in Cambridgeshire to deal with people who have drunk too much alcohol.
Care workers will work from the tents in Laxton Square, Peterborough, throughout the festive season.
Organisers, the SaferPeterborough partnership, said the aim is to reduce the number of ambulances called out to drunk people.
It will mean the emergency services can deal with life-threatening situations instead, they added.
Debbie Sampson, community safety and licensing team leader for the SaferPeterborough partnership, said: "The care facility will help to ensure timely and appropriate medical care for people that are injured, ill or in need of immediate welfare support in the city centre.
"By providing the facility we will reduce accident and emergency attendances at the city hospital and reduce ambulance response times to emergency calls.
"I am confident by being there to protect vulnerable people we will potentially save lives."
