Cambridge railway station to get 拢2.2m facelift fund
Network Rail has received 拢2.2m of private money to help improve Cambridge railway station.
It plans to create a larger ticket hall, making it easier for passengers to move through the station.
The funds come from company Brookgate, which is leading an 拢850m redevelopment of the station and nearby area.
The Brookgate scheme includes building three accommodation blocks for Anglia Ruskin University by 2012 and space for new shops.
