Manea: Man charged after Post Office raid and fatal car crash
A man has been charged with robbery and causing death by dangerous driving after a car was found in a water-filled ditch in The Fens on Sunday.
Police were called to an armed robbery at the Post Office in Manea in Cambridgeshire at about 19:15 BST.
Fifteen minutes later, a man was found dead in a silver Ford Focus after a single-vehicle crash the village.
Sonny Loveridge, 25, of Stretham Station Road, Ely, was due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates' Court.
Police were alerted to the car by ambulance crews and found the vehicle in the ditch on Byall Fen Drove.
The force was not releasing any further details about the dead man until formal identification was completed, but it was confirmed he was a passenger in the car.
