Cornwall Council plans a further 拢50m of budget cuts
Cornwall Council's cabinet members have been discussing plans to find a further 拢50m in cuts.
It is the second year of a four-year strategy to cut a total of 拢170m from the authority's budget.
A range of departments are earmarked for cuts including children's services, environment and transport.
However the Conservative-led administration wants to help boost the Cornish economy - including a 拢7m investment for adult social care.
It also highlighted support and capital funding for projects such as dualling the A30 at Temple.
The council is currently on target to make 拢88.5m savings this year.
The proposals for next year include cuts of about 拢40m with 拢10m for contingency funds.
The budget cut plans will be discussed at full council in November.
