More than 200 cannabis plants were uncovered by police when they carried out a house raid.

The 209 plants were found on Old Hinckley Road, Nuneaton, after police were alerted by neighbours.

They were growing in two rooms of the house, and would have been ready to harvest in about two months.

No arrests had been made, said Warwickshire Police, which acted after locals said they were sick of the criminal activity on their doorstep.

PC Amelia Loveridge, from the force, said: "Cannabis grows are frequently linked to violent organised crime and modern slavery."
