A male pedestrian has been left with serious injuries and three women have been hurt after a car hit the man.
A black Citroen DS3 struck a man in his 50s, who then collided with three women, at about 23:20 BST in Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, on Saturday.
The man remained in hospital receiving treatment for multiple serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening, Derbyshire Police said.
The three women, all in their 40s, suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the car was helping officers with their inquiries, the force added.
