A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash which closed part of a busy Derbyshire road.
Police were called just before 17:15 GMT on Thursday to the Abbey Hill section of the A38 stretch, close to the Little Eaton Island in Derby.
The southbound carriageway was closed between the island and the A6 Duffield Road junction until after 21:00.
The injured man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital but no more details of his injuries have been released.
