Span Carr: Second arrest after crash kills mother and son
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a mother and son died in a crash.
Police said the pair were in a Hyundai that was in collision with a BMW on the A632 Chesterfield Road in Span Carr, Derbyshire, at about 10:20 GMT on Saturday.
The 59-year-old woman died at the scene and her son, 22, died in hospital.
The 27-year-old man was detained on Monday and remains in custody, the force said.
Another man, 40, has been released on bail after being arrested in connection with the crash.
Derbyshire Police has appealed for witnesses and information.
