Morley: Arrest after pedestrian fatally struck by car

A pedestrian died when he was hit by a car near a Derbyshire golf club.
Police said the man suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by a grey Mercedes in Main Road, Morley, on Wednesday.
The force said the man, in his 50s, died at the scene, near Morley Hayes Golf Club, just before 18:40 GMT.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 40-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been released on bail as police continue to investigate what happened.
