Man trapped in Essex well rescued
A 40-year-old man trapped five metres down a well in Essex has been rescued by fire crews.
Firefighters were called to Abberton Reservoir, near Colchester, on Tuesday evening after a man suffered head injuries after slipping into the well.
The man, who was believed to have been working on the site, was trapped for more than an hour before being rescued by Essex Fire Service crews.
The man was treated by paramedics and then airlifted to hospital.
The incident was also attended by the East of England Ambulance Service.
