Portsmouth Ann Summers store's lingerie stolen in raid

  • Published

An adult shop's entire stock of bras and knickers, valued at £30,000, was stolen during a raid in Portsmouth.

A gang forced their way into the back of the Ann Summers shop, in Commercial Road, stealing lingerie which they loaded into boxes, police said.

It was described as an "organised operation" by police, who want to hear from anyone with information about Sunday's break-in.

Many of the items were security tagged, police said.

Det Con Lee Parker, of Hampshire Constabulary, said: "At this time it is not known whether it is a one-off or part of a larger series of burglaries taking place, however, this is something we are looking into.

"If anybody is offered any of these items for sale please contact the police."
