World record for Tim Burton-inspired pumpkin mosaic
A Tim Burton-inspired mosaic made with more than 10,000 pumpkins and squashes has set a new Guinness World Record.
The display at Sunnyfields Farm was created to mark animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas's 30th anniversary and depicts Jack Skellington's famous moonlight stance.
The Southampton farm has entered the record books for the largest mosaic created from squashes, at just under 200 square metres.
Tributes paid to Jess the railway station cat
Tributes were paid to a much-loved cat who lived at Andover railway station.
Jess, who had been looked after by station staff for 13 years after his owner abandoned him, passed away on Monday.
Employees said the 19-year-old feline would be "sorely missed".
Dinosaur footprints exposed on resort's beach
A set of well-preserved dinosaur footprints have been uncovered on a beach at Yaverland on the Isle of Wight.
Engineers found the 125 million-year-old footprints while looking at sea defence plans for the seafront.
They are thought to belong to a mantellisaurus, a three-toed, seven metre (23ft) long plant-eating dinosaur.
3D printed skull 'pivotal' to murder convictions
A 3D printed skull has been described as "pivotal" to securing the murder convictions of four men.
The model was created by the University of Portsmouth to demonstrate injuries sustained by 31-year-old Frazer Brabant.
Mr Brabant was attacked in a garden in Basingstoke, Hampshire, on 31 October 2019 and four men were convicted of murder on 7 June 2023.
Stolen baby donkey becomes star of new book
A baby donkey who was stolen from Miller's Ark Animals in Hook has become the subject of a new book.
Moon was snatched from a field at the farm in May, when she was two months old and found by police two weeks later at an address in Buckinghamshire.
The book, titled Moon of Miller's Ark, was created after word spread of the foal's ordeal.
