Red Funnel suspended Solent ferry services because of fog

Ferry services in the Solent have resumed after being suspended because of thick fog across the channel.

Red Funnel stopped routes between Southampton and East Cowes on the Isle of Wight because of poor visibility.

In a statement, the firm said its vehicle ferry was suspended, while the Red Jet were experiencing delays and operating a shuttle service.

The company confirmed normal service had since resumed and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
