Portsmouth roads shut over suspicious package
Two main roads in a city have been closed by police for more than an hour following the discovery of a suspicious package.
Bomb disposal units were called to Kingston Crescent in Portsmouth, Hampshire, shortly after 11:00 GMT.
Kingston Road was also shut between Chichester Road and Powerscourt Road.
The package was later found to contain batteries and posed no threat, police said. A security cordon was lifted at 13:00.
