Woman dies after being hit by car in Burton-on-Trent
A woman in her 70s has died after being hit by a car, police say.
Emergency services were called to Evershed Way in Burton-upon-Trent at about 09:30 GMT on Saturday after the woman was struck by a Rover 414.
Staffordshire Police said she was pronounced dead a short time later and her family were being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Rover was treated by paramedics and is assisting investigators with their inquiries.
Anyone with any dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the area at the time is asked to get in touch with police.
