Blackburn hit-and-run crash: Toddler and girl, 12, hurt
A toddler and a 12-year-old girl have been seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Lancashire.
A blue Volkswagen Golf "lost control" and hit a red Golf in Harwood Street, Blackburn, at 15:00 BST on Friday.
The occupants of the blue Golf got out of it and one of them got into the boot of a white Vauxhall Astra van which drove off towards Eanam, police said.
A 12-year-old girl has a fractured skull and internal injuries. The two-year-old injured her head and neck.
Both children, passengers of the red Golf, are being treated at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
The driver of the red car, a 39-year-old woman, suffered minor leg injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information about the occupants of the blue Golf or white van is urged to contact Lancashire Police.
