A man has been charged after a woman had a chemical substance, believed to include ammonia, thrown in her face.
The victim, in her 30s, was not seriously hurt but was taken to hospital after the attack in Whinfield Avenue, Fleetwood on Sunday.
A 19-year-old man had been charged with throwing a corrosive fluid with intent to do grievous bodily harm and criminal damage, police said.
He appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Ammonia is a colourless gas which is usually found in cleaning agents and dyes.
It can cause health problems depending on the scale of exposure.
