Police appeal after body found in River Aire in Leeds
The death of a man whose body was found in the River Aire in Leeds is being treated as "unexplained".
West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to Swillington near Wakefield Road at about 11:25 BST on Sunday after reports of a body in the river.
The body was recovered from the water, officers said, and the man has been identified.
The force said officers remained at the scene for investigation work.
"His death is currently being treated as unexplained," a force spokesperson said.
Anyone with information was asked to contact police via 101.
