Allyn Grayson: Body found in search for missing Leeds United fan

Police searching for a Leeds United fan who went missing over the bank holiday weekend have found a body.

Allyn Grayson, 50, was last seen at the Head of Steam pub on Park Row in the city at around 17:30 BST on Saturday.

Mr Grayson, from Rothwell, had gone to watch Leeds play at Elland Road against Southampton earlier that day then went to the pub before disappearing.

Officers found a body in a wooded area close to Hunslet Road and the A61 in Rothwell just after 11:20 BST.

West Yorkshire Police said formal identification was yet to take place, but Mr Grayson's family had been informed.
