Katie Price impersonator admits Lincolnshire bank fraud

A teenager who impersonated Katie Price is awaiting sentence, after she admitted stealing money from the glamour model's bank account.

Kerry Marshall, 18, stole Price's identity to fraudulently buy goods including a sports car and a bracelet.

She withdrew 拢1,000 on 27 September and a further 拢1,500 on 3 October, Lincoln Crown Court heard.

Marshall, of Sleaford, Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to five charges of fraud by false representation.

The case was adjourned and Marshall is due to be sentenced at the same court on 24 February.

A spokesman for HSBC, with whom the account was held, confirmed that Marshall had withdrawn the money by going into a Lincolnshire branch and lying about her real identity.

The spokeman said: "The customer concerned has not lost any money at all.

"If anyone is an innocent victim of fraud the money is always protected."

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said officers investigated the fraud following a complaint from Miss Price, formerly known as Jordan.

Marshall was arrested in Sleaford on 7 October.

She bought both the Maxda MX5 sports car and Pandora bracelet on 1 October.
