Ivans Zdanovics death: Man convicted of murder
A man who started a fire at a house in Lincolnshire killing another man has been found guilty of murder.
Martynas Kupstys admitted causing the death of Ivans Zdanovicvs, 24, at a terraced house in Etherington Street, Gainsborough.
He told Lincoln Crown Court he did not intend to kill Mr Zdanovics or cause him serious harm, and believed the property was empty.
Kupstys, 26, of Aegir Close in the town, will be sentenced later.
The jury, which has been deliberating over four days, has yet to reach a verdict in the case of a second man Andrus Giedraitis.
Mr Giedraitis, 30, of Riseholme Road, Gainsborough, is also accused of murder between 15 and 18 January 2014.
