Gainsborough driver seriously injured in two-car crash

A driver has suffered serious injuries in a crash involving two cars in Lincolnshire, police have said.

Officers said a red Citroen C1 and a white Ford Fiesta collided at about 17:20 GMT on Monday on The Belt Road in Gainsborough.

The Citroen driver remains in hospital for treatment.

Lincolnshire Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the crash to contact the force.
