Crowland cash machine targeted in JCB ram-raid
- Published
Thieves using a JCB pulled a cash machine from a shop in Crowland in the early hours of Wednesday, police said.
Officers believe the telehandler was stolen from a farm before it was used to ram the Spar shop in North Street.
The ATM was then lifted onto a white flatbed van before being driven away. The incident was reported just after 03:30 GMT.
Lincolnshire Police believe three or four suspects wearing dark clothing and balaclavas were involved.
The force said two suspects were thought to have left the scene on foot and may have been collected in another vehicle.
The JCB has been recovered but the ATM and van remained missing, police said. No arrests have been made.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson asked anyone with information or footage, including from doorbell cameras, to get in touch.
