Murder probe man stabbed in Moss Side, Manchester
A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found fatally stabbed in a Manchester street.
Police were called to Crondall Street, Moss Side, at about 12.10 GMT to a report that a man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
Greater Manchester Police said a murder investigation had been launched and that officers were continuing enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Crondall Street is expected to be closed until Wednesday.
Supt Dave Pester said the force's priority was to "establish the motivation behind the attack".
"First and foremost our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this man," he said.
"People will understandably be alarmed when they hear about this incident... I would like to assure the public that we have an increased level of police officers in the area tonight."
