Grays Fair Court: Murder probe as woman dies at care home
The death of a woman in her 80s whose body was found at a care home is being treated as murder.
A man - also in his 80s - has been arrested in connection with the death on Friday at the council-run Grays Fair Court in New Costessey, near Norwich.
The arrested man is currently being treated in hospital, Norfolk Police said. Post-mortem tests took place on Sunday.
Officers said the man and the woman were thought to be known to each other.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk County Council said: "We were sorry to hear of the incident on Friday evening and we continue to help police whilst their inquiries are ongoing.
"Staff and residents of Grays Fair Court are being supported by the management team at the care home and our wellbeing service."
The force said its investigation was ongoing and a Home Office post-mortem examination took place on Sunday.
